Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NICU)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in NICU to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care to pediatric patients across various units including Pediatric Emergency Room (ER), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy care to patients in the NICU and other pediatric floors.
• Utilize medication systems such as Pyxis and Omnicell for medication management.
• Document patient information accurately using the EPIC documentation system.
• Participate in floating to other units as required based on census needs, ensuring only to float where competencies are validated.

Shift Details

This is a night shift position requiring 3 shifts of 12 hours per week. Weekend coverage is required on an every other basis.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid South Carolina respiratory care license.
• Active certifications in BLS, NRP, PALS, and RRT are required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Emergency, or NICU settings is necessary.
• Demonstrated proficiency with both Pyxis and Omnicell medication systems.
• Experience with the EPIC documentation system is essential.
