Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic team. This position requires expertise in scrubbing and/or circulating neuro, orthopedic, and trauma cases in a level 1 trauma center environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the operating room setting.
• Assist with scrubbing and/or circulating during surgery as necessary.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in weekend rotation and on-call duties as scheduled.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC.

Qualifications

• Current BLS Certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in a level 1 trauma center.
• Experience with neuro, orthopedic, and trauma cases is essential.
• Ability to work both 10 and 12-hour shifts, with flexibility for weekend and on-call rotations.
• Self-scheduling is allowed within reasonable constraints.

Additional Information

The operating room comprises 23 suites and averages approximately 75 cases per day. All registered nurses are required to take on call duties equivalent to permanent staff, with a response time of 45 minutes. Weekend shift requirements involve one shift per four-week period.
