Respiratory Therapist – RRT

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a strong background in various respiratory care settings. The ideal candidate will work in a team-oriented environment providing top-tier patient care across adult ICU, Med/Surg, and other related units.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory care.
• Experience in ER, Adult ICU, Med/Surg, and ICU/Stepdown settings.
• Proficient in respiratory care techniques including airway management, medication administration, and ventilator management.
• Knowledge of ABGs, O2 therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer therapy, BiPAP, CPAP, and vest therapy.
• EPIC system experience is required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NC License, and RRT credentials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with bronchoscopes.
• NRP certification is a plus.

Job Details

• Patient Ratios: 35-45 patients per day.
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, with the option for 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks or longer, with an end date of 2/27.
• RTO: Maximum of 7 days for Aya Auto Offer.
• Weekend Requirement: Four weekend shifts within a six-week timeframe.

Patient Population

The Respiratory Therapist will work with a diverse patient population, including adolescents to geriatrics, in a large respiratory care department. Responsibilities include managing various conditions and treatments, aiming to provide high-quality respiratory care to all patients.

Special Equipment

• Servo I, Servo U, Hamilton T1, V60, and night-time VPAP.
• Use of Omni-labs and V30s.
• ABL90 ABG machine.

Unit Orientation

Orientation will be conducted from 7 AM to 7 PM before transitioning to the night shift schedule.

Dress Code

Scrubs: Black.

Additional Information

No floating to other facilities will be required, only within the unit. Candidates should be prepared for potential call requirements based on workload.
