IR/Special Procedure Technologist

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IR/Special Procedure Technologist to join our team. This position is essential in providing quality care to patients through the use of advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform interventional and special radiographic procedures.
• Utilize applicable diagnostic equipment and techniques in accordance with safety regulations.
• Ensure adherence to radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety policies.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care.
• Participate in mandatory overtime as required to ensure coverage for the unit.

Qualifications

• Radiography Registry [R.T. (R)] by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• Two (2) years of experience performing interventional and special radiographic procedures; hybrid Interventional radiology experience preferred.
• Cardiac Interventional or vascular interventional registry by ARRT, or registry eligible and must obtain registry within six months of employment.
• Possess and maintain a Connecticut State license to practice radiography during employment.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to medical imaging.

Work Schedule

This position offers rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, with 10-hour workdays starting at 7 AM, 7:30 AM, or 8 AM.
