Registered Nurse – Radiation Oncology

Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse with expertise in Radiation Oncology to join our team. This position requires strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care, operating Monday through Friday with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Radiation Oncology unit.
• Administer IV treatments and manage port access as needed.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records using EPIC.
• Ensure compliance with all health standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid New York nursing license.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in Radiation Oncology.
• Experience with IV administration and port access.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficiency in EPIC software required.
• Must reside outside of the restricted counties within a 50-mile radius.

Additional Information

Flu season starts on December 5. A flu vaccine will be required unless a medical or religious exemption is provided at least two weeks prior to starting.
