IR/Special Procedure Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified IR/Special Procedure Technologist to join our team. This position involves performing interventional and special radiographic procedures and may include hybrid interventional radiology experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing considerable knowledge of physiology and anatomy.
• Operate and maintain applicable diagnostic equipment, adhering to established procedures and techniques.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety policies.
• Participate in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as well as on-call duties as required.
• Collaborate with medical teams to provide quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Radiography Registry [R.T. (R)] from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
• Two (2) years of experience in interventional and special radiographic procedures is preferred.
• Cardiac Interventional or vascular interventional registry by ARRT or registry eligibility with the intention to obtain registry within six months of employment.
• Possession and maintenance of a Connecticut State license to practice radiography throughout employment.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Additional Information

This position will include mandatory overtime as necessary to ensure adequate coverage for the unit. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
