Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4-5 years of operating room (OR) nursing experience with a strong background in circulating and assisting in orthopedic, spine, and neuro surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a circulating nurse for orthopedic, spine, and neuro surgeries.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform independently on assigned cases, as indicated in the performance checklist.
• Provide high-quality patient care in the operating room environment.
• Participate in surgical procedures, with the preferred ability to scrub for complex cases in neuro, spine, and orthopedic surgeries.
• Comfortably assist with Da Vinci robotic surgery cases.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with 4-5 years of OR nursing or combined OR experience.
• Must have circulating experience; scrub experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to perform independently in circulating roles for the specified surgical specialties.
• Experience with complex neuro, spine, and orthopedic surgeries.

Work Schedule

This position requires flexibility in shift hours, including the potential for varying start times. On-call duty will be included, with expectations of at least one weekend per month and rotating holiday coverage. The candidate must be prepared for mandatory overtime as part of the unit’s staff rotation. A 30-minute report time is required, and provided scrubs will be issued.

• Float assignments may occur within clinical competence to different departments or units within 30 miles of the original assignment.
