Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS)

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in therapeutic recreation and have the ability to enhance the quality of life for individuals through recreational activities.

Position Overview

• Shift: Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Call Requirements: None

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 72
• Patient Population: Adults
• EHR System: Pinpoint
• Supervisor: Jordan Canady

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) or Music Therapy Board Certification (MT-BC)
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in therapeutic recreation
• Education: Relevant educational background in therapeutic recreation or related field

Responsibilities

As a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing individualized recreation therapy programs
• Assessing patients’ needs and monitoring their progress
• Promoting physical and mental well-being through engaging recreational activities
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
