The Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) provides recreational therapy services to promote optimal health and well-being among adult patients. The role focuses on enhancing the quality of life through individualized therapeutic recreation plans and interventions.

• Department: Recreational Therapy

• Shift: Options available: Sunday – Thursday (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) or Tuesday – Saturday (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Call Requirements: No call responsibilities

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) or Music Therapy Board Certification (MT-BC)
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a therapeutic recreational role

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for assessing patients’ recreational therapy needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions that enhance physical, social, and emotional functioning.
