RN First Assist (RNFA)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated RN First Assist (RNFA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various surgical specialties and be prepared to take on on-call responsibilities as part of a rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct surgical assistance in robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, orthopedics/spine, vascular, urology, and gynecology procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to ensure high-quality patient care and safety during procedures.
• Participate in the kidney call rotation, including weekday evenings and weekend coverage.
• Participate in general call rotation over the weekends and holidays.
• Maintain proficiency in both scrub and circulating duties across various specialties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in scrub and circulating roles.
• Proficient in robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, orthopedics/spine, vascular, urology, and gynecology surgical assist roles.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including options for 4x10s or 3x12s.
• Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and exhibit professional behavior at all times.

Schedule Details

• On-call coverage estimated at 8 days during a 6-week schedule.
• Kidney call rotation: Monday through Friday from 1800-0600 and Saturday and Sunday for full 24 hours.
• General call rotation on weekends and holidays from 0700-1700, with no kidney call on holidays.
