Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

Monday – Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Job Responsibilities

As a Sterile Processing Tech, you will be responsible for the following:

• Perform decontamination of various items including drills, Da Vinci robots, and scopes.
• Assemble all instruments across multiple service lines, including trauma, loaners, and peel packaging.
• Oversee the sterilization processes using Sterrad and steam methods.
• Utilize high-level disinfection (HLD) procedures and have experience with scopes.
• Manage sterile storage and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Act as a liaison for the operating room (OR) to facilitate communication and workflow.
• Implement and maintain the Censitrac tracking system for efficient inventory management.
• Utilize Medivator systems effectively in the processing of scopes and instruments.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess technical expertise and certifications to be considered for this role:

• Certification from either CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) is required.
• Previous experience in a high-volume, Level One trauma facility is preferred.
• Proven track record as a traveler with experience in similar environments is essential.
