Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN): Med/Surg Telemetry

Position Overview

As a Travel RN, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in a variety of medical/surgical and telemetry settings. You will work with a diverse patient population, utilizing your clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and record patient progress, ensuring timely interventions when necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year of recent acute care nursing experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and manage multiple responsibilities.

Additional Information

Orientation sessions for new hires are held bi-weekly on Tuesdays. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check and random drug screening as part of the onboarding process.
