Surgical Services

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Sterile Processing Technicians to support various surgical services. The ideal candidates will possess a broad knowledge base and skill set, enabling them to perform effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the decontamination of all surgical items, including drills, robotic systems, and scopes.
• Assemble instruments from all service lines, ensuring compliance with guidelines and specifications, including trauma and loaners.
• Manage sterilization processes utilizing Sterrad and steam sterilization techniques.
• Facilitate high-level disinfection (HLD) processes and scope management.
• Oversee sterile storage practices, ensuring that all items are maintained in accordance with safety protocols.
• Act as a liaison with operating room staff to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Utilize the Censitrac tracking system for accurate inventory and tracking of surgical instruments.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Medivator systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have experience in all areas of the sterile processing department.
• Certification as either CBSPD or CRCST through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) is required.
• Experience working in a Level One trauma facility or a similar busy environment is highly preferred.

Schedule

This position requires availability for a mid-shift schedule from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
