Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a long-term care assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in LT care and work in a supportive team environment.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 4×12 Variable (Days or Nights, dependent on facility needs)
• Duration: Traveler’s choice of 13 or 26 weeks
• Patient Ratios: 1:20
• Years of Experience Required: 1 year
• Certifications Required: BLS, Alaska Food Worker Certification (obtained on-site during orientation)
• Skills Required: Long Term Care experience
• Floating: Will float within scope to meet facility needs
• Block Schedule: Not available
• Local Candidates: Not accepted (permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility)
• RTO Restrictions: No more than 2 weeks of RTO for a 26-week contract; must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)
• Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks, with the possibility of being called off for 1 shift every 2 weeks

Transportation

The facility will provide shuttle transportation to and from Anchorage at the start and end of the traveler’s contract, as well as local shuttle services in the surrounding areas.
