Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care, with the ability to float as needed across various units.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and OB Triage units.
• Manage patient diagnoses including Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn care.
• Perform special procedures such as:
• Vaginal Delivery and Cesarean Delivery
• Circulate in the Operating Room
• Initiate adult IVs and administer medications including Blood/Blood Products
• Manage Epidural and PCA Pumps
• Administer Insulin and Magnesium Sulfate as necessary
• Utilize specialized equipment for High Risk Antepartum and Labor & Delivery, and handle couplet care.

Qualifications

• Active compact nursing license.
• Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP, ACLS (preferred).
• Demonstrated skills in circulating procedures, Fetal Heart Monitoring, and initiating IVs.
• Ability to work in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:3 for patient care.

Shift Information

This position is for the night shift, consisting of four 12-hour shifts, from 19:00 to 07:30.
