Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. This position requires individuals with previous travel experience and an active Alaska nursing license. The role involves working closely with patients in a supportive environment, ensuring their health and well-being.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 4×12 Variable (Days or Nights based on facility needs)
• Duration: 13 or 26-week assignment
• Patient Ratios: 1:20
• Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in LTC
• First Timers Accepted: No
• Certifications Required: BLS and Alaska Food Worker Certification (obtained during orientation)
• Skills Required: LTC Experience
• Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
• Block Schedule: Not accommodated
• Local Candidates: Not accepted. Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1 shift per 2 weeks)

Travel and Transportation

Shuttle transportation will be arranged to and from Anchorage at the start and end of the traveler’s contract. A local shuttle is also available to assist with transportation in the surrounding area.

Holiday and Time Off

Travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major Winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted upon application; no more than 2 weeks of RTO will be considered for a 26-week contract.
