ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care in a critical care environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure optimal outcomes for patients in the Intensive Care Unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients’ conditions, including vital signs and lab results.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Coordinate care with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding conditions and treatment plans.
• Titrate drips and manage various medications including vasopressors and sedatives.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
• Float within Zone 1 as required to meet patient care needs.

Shift Information

• Permanent day shift position with a shift length of 12 hours.
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available.
• Weekend commitment: Self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule.
• Holiday requirements apply.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: ICU (Intensive Care Unit)
• Number of Beds: 36
• Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:2
• 24/7 availability of respiratory therapy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with titrating drips and managing complex patients is essential.

Orientation

All clinicians must be available in-state during the orientation week, which includes both remote and in-person modules.

Dress Code

The designated attire for this position is navy blue scrubs.
