Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience and possess EPIC certification. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct sterile vaginal exams and manage care for high-risk patients.
• Utilize advanced skills in fetal monitoring, including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
• Circulate for cesarean sections and provide comprehensive care in high and low-risk labor and delivery settings.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including OB hospitalists and anesthesia specialists.

Unit Details:

• 4 Triage beds
• 11 Labor-Delivery-Recovery rooms (LDR)
• 2 Operating Rooms (OR)
• NICU & Post-Partum care

Patient Population:

• Neonates
• Adolescents
• Adults

Required Skills:

• Proficient in the use of External Fetal Monitoring.
• Experience with SBAR communication and Omnicell medication management.
• Familiarity with eMD Allscripts systems.

Required Certifications:

• AHA BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN Advanced

Schedule Requirements:

• Availability for 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday).
• No RTO (Request Time Off) in the first two weeks of the assignment.
• 1 Holiday RTO submission is allowed, but not guaranteed to be approved.
• Must work most holidays, with a maximum of 3 days RTO permitted throughout the contract length.
