Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This role involves providing care for patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit. The candidate may float to different units and will potentially care for patients on ventilators.

Shifts

The position requires working on a rotating schedule with day and night shifts:

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Shifts may vary as needed to meet the operational requirements of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the medical-surgical/telemetry unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and maintain accurate records.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in educational opportunities and stay current with best practices.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty.
• Must have a valid registered nurse license for the state of Ohio or a compact state license.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross is required.

Additional Requirements

• Must work at least every other holiday.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required.
