Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week assignment. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while adhering to established protocols and practices.

Shift Information

• Shift: Days (7a-7p)
• Duration: 13 weeks

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals in a medical surgical setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• ACLS certification is preferred; however, candidates may be considered with pending certification as long as it is obtained prior to the start date.
• Cerner experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical surgical unit is required.

Additional Information

• This position may require floating to other units as needed.
• Work schedules can accommodate up to 48 hours per week scheduling requests.
• Dress code and scrub colors will be specified upon hiring.
• Parking information will be provided upon hiring.
