X-Ray Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience in radiology to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications and demonstrate proficiency in various imaging procedures, particularly in orthopedic patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform X-ray imaging procedures for patients, focusing on orthopedic diagnoses.
• Operate and maintain digital X-ray equipment, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Follow established protocols for imaging, including lower extremity, spine, pelvis, and upper extremity procedures.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and infection control practices.
• Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with healthcare teams to discuss findings.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiology.
• Certification: ARRT R, BLS, and a valid state license.
• Proficiency in lower extremity imaging (Ankle, Calcaneus, Femur, Foot, Knee, Patella, Tibia-fibula, Toes & Trauma).
• Experience in spine and pelvis imaging (Cervical Spine, Hip, Lumbar Spine, Pelvis, Sacrum, and Thoracic Spine).
• Skills in upper extremity imaging (AC joints, Clavicle, Elbow, Forearm, Hand, Humerus, Scapula, Shoulder, Wrist).
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety measures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with bedside or portable procedures.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions.
• Familiarity with GE, Phillips, Siemens, and Toshiba equipment.

Job Details

• Average Daily Census: 60; Visits/Day: 120; Rooms: 2.
• Shift: 40 hours per week, typically from 07:30 AM to 04:30 PM.
• No on-call requirement.
• No weekend shifts required.

Patient Demographics

Will provide care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients with orthopedic diagnoses.

Work Environment

The technician will work in a department equipped with PACS and digital X-ray systems, following standard operating procedures for patient care. Solid color scrubs are required.
