Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team for opportunities in the operating room. This position requires proficiency in various surgical procedures and specialties, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a surgical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across various specialties including General, Gynecology, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedic (including total joints), Neuro (head and spine), and Trauma.
• Precept and mentor surgical tech students or less experienced staff as required.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly prepared and organized.
• Participate in patient care and communicate effectively with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to established protocols for safety and patient care within the surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of current experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Proficient in the required specialties listed above, with preferred experience in C-sections, ENT, Plastics, and operation of the DaVinci Robot.
• NHSTSA certification is required; NCCT will not be accepted.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred.
• Must possess your own vehicle for transportation to and from assignments.
• Two recent supervisory references are required.

Work Schedule

• This position involves 8-hour day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage may be required as needed.
• A rotating on-call schedule will be part of the responsibilities.

Additional Information

• Orientation of 8 hours is non-billable.
• The facility will provide scrubs to staff.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be documented at the time of submission.
