X-Ray Technologist

Job Description

An X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using X-ray equipment. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, ensuring their safety, and providing high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for X-ray examinations.
• Operate X-ray machines and related equipment safely and effectively.
• Ensure the safety of patients and personnel by adhering to radiological safety standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records and image documentation.
• Consult with radiologists and healthcare team members regarding imaging results.
• Maintain and clean X-ray equipment and work areas.
• Provide excellent patient care and support throughout the imaging process.

Qualifications

• Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
• Strong understanding of radiographic techniques and safety protocols.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Work Environment

The X-Ray Technologist will work in a clinical setting, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Flexibility to adapt to different shifts and responsibilities may be required.
