Registered Nurse (RN) – Burn MedSurg

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Burn MedSurg unit. This role presents an opportunity to work within a Magnet-designated teaching facility that specializes in trauma care while providing comprehensive nursing care to our patient population.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Patient Ratios: 3-4:1 (days) and 4-5:1 (nights)
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility reserves the right to call off 1 shift per every 2 weeks

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required, first-timers accepted
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Pediatric Experience: Preferred but not required

Unit Information

• 15-room, 26-bed unit
• Patient population includes adults with burns, plastic injuries, and pediatric trauma
• Special procedures involve anesthesia-assisted wound care, with available nitrous oxide
• Daily average census of 22 patients
• Wound care RN assistance provided for 8-hour day shifts

• Scrub Color: Blue, provided by the facility
• Parking: Daily onsite parking costs apply
• Offsite Parking: Available, with shuttle service operational on weekdays
