Job Details

This position is for an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting. The role requires working day shifts with a commitment to every other weekend. The selected candidate will join a team dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Medical Surgical (Med Surg)
• Number of Beds: 44
• Staffing: 40 healthcare professionals
• Patient Ratios: 1:5, possibly 1:6
• CNA Ratios: 1:8, generally 1:10

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holidays: As needed

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year with at least 1 travel assignment
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS

Additional Information

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech experience preferred but not required
• General Orientation: 1 week (includes EMR training)
• Floor Specific Orientation: 2 days
• Floating: Yes, across acute care and cardiology to manage medical or emergency care needs
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
