Cardiovascular Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab team. This role involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within a fast-paced environment, providing essential support in both Electrophysiology (EP) and Cardiac Catheterization (Cath Lab) cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and operation of relevant equipment during procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, utilizing Epic.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.

Shift and Scheduling

This position requires a commitment to 10-hour shifts, working primarily four days a week from 7 AM to 5 PM. The role includes call responsibilities of 4 to 5 times per month, with one weekend per month expected.

Unit Information

The Cardiac Cath Lab operates 11 labs and manages a high volume of cases daily, ranging from 40 to 50 procedures. The environment is supportive of both Electrophysiology and Cardiac Cath Lab specialties, with Interventional Radiology managed separately.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
• BLS Certification required.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification via the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is mandatory.
