Diagnostic Technologist

The primary responsibilities of the Diagnostic Technologist include positioning patients for x-ray imaging of the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot, or ankle. This role involves performing imaging procedures independently, operating X-ray equipment, processing images, and documenting findings in the PACS system. The Diagnostic Technologist is also responsible for providing basic patient care under the supervision of a clinical nurse, which may include the following duties:

• Obtaining vital signs
• Escorting patients to examination rooms
• Performing specimen collection, including blood draws if qualified
• Preparing patients for clinician evaluation
• Assisting clinicians during evaluations
• Maintaining an orderly and well-stocked area with supplies and equipment

The Diagnostic Technologist may also be required to float to various locations as needed. Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT)
• Current CPR Certification
• California-issued Fluoroscopy Permit
• Current ARRT licensure
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Previous traveler experience preferred

This position involves an 8-hour shift beginning at 8:00 AM, with potential scheduling on weekends.
