Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Oncology department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of recent experience in the oncology specialty and will possess the necessary certifications to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and manage patients receiving cancer treatments.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, procedures, and self-care techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in oncology nursing.
• AHA BLS & NIH Certification required.
• Chemotherapy Certification and experience in administering chemotherapy are required.
• Preferred experience in Trauma Level 1, Oncology, or ICU settings.

Holiday Expectations

The candidate must be available to work two major holidays out of three: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day, as well as one minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve.
