Rehabilitation Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team during an exciting period of transformation. As we undergo a significant renovation project, our state-of-the-art facility will enhance the quality of care provided to our residents, particularly those with dementia.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents in the rehabilitation unit.
• Assess and develop individualized care plans based on resident needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery.
• Monitor resident progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Assist residents with daily activities and rehabilitation exercises.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all residents.
• Participate in training and development initiatives as required.

Schedule and Work Environment

This position offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of weekend work as needed. There is no weekend rotation, providing a stable work-life balance.

As a floating role, you may be required to provide support across different units to facilitate comprehensive care.

Facility Highlights

Our facility is currently undergoing a $75 million renovation project, scheduled for completion in January 2025. The renovation will double room sizes, enhancing comfort and privacy for our residents. We feature a specialized dementia unit that accommodates up to 32 residents, focused on providing exceptional care for individuals living with dementia.

Qualifications

• Relevant certifications in rehabilitation or a related field.
• Experience working with residents with dementia is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
