Respiratory Therapist

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This position involves providing patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on respiratory therapy for patients with ventilator and tracheostomy needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures according to prescribed protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patients’ respiratory status and progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement patient care strategies.
• Conduct patient assessments and maintain detailed documentation of therapy interventions.
• Educate patients and their families about respiratory care and use of equipment.
• Adhere to safety standards and infection control guidelines.

Work Schedule

This role requires working night shifts, including a schedule of three 12-hour shifts with a rotating weekend commitment.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Previous experience in a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) setting is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills and patient-focused approach.
