Job Summary

This unit offers an excellent environment to learn about various neurological diseases while utilizing critical thinking and nursing skills. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting, caring for patients with conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Guillain-Barre Syndrome, among others. As a comprehensive stroke center and Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, we evaluate, diagnose, and treat complex patients using advanced continuous video EEG technology. Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with neurological conditions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in developing and implementing patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, noting any changes and responding appropriately.
• Utilize critical thinking skills in making clinical decisions and providing patient education.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Requirements

• Valid RN License (New York State only)
• Two (2) years of nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
