Registered Nurse (RN) – MS/Tele Float

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Nursing Resource Team as a float in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and the ability to adapt to various clinical environments as needed.

Shift

This position requires working night shifts of three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30), with every other weekend commitment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units.
• Float to Rehabilitation units as required.
• Assess patient needs, plan nursing care, implement patient care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Maintain a compassionate and patient-centered environment.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Document all patient interactions, care, and outcomes accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
• Care for patients who may have COVID-19.

Holiday Requirement

Candidates are expected to work during the upcoming major holidays, specifically:

• Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

If the contract period includes only two holidays, the traveler will need to work at least one of them. Requests for more than one holiday off are not permitted.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience using EPIC or similar electronic health record systems is required.
• Must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be willing to comply with tobacco and fragrance-free policies.

Additional Information

The position requires flexibility to float to different units as needed, primarily working in Medical/Surgical and Rehabilitation settings. A maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) will be considered.
