Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

The organization is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for an Acute Care Float position. This role requires flexibility as the nurse will be assigned to various units as needed by the nursing supervisor when staffing assignments are made.

Shift Details

• Shift: Day shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Type: 12-hour shift with a 30-minute lunch break
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Patient Care Ratios

Patient ratios will vary based on unit needs but are typically around 1:6.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting
• BLS certification is required
• Active, unencumbered RN license in Tennessee (or a multi-state license) is mandatory
• Cerner EMR experience is required

Floating Units

The Registered Nurse will float to various units, including but not limited to:

• 12E – Medical Comfort Care
• 11E – Surgery and GI
• 10E – Trauma
• 8E – Medical
• 7S – Observation
• 5E – Medical
• 5W – Oncology
• 4S – Medical Nephrology
• 9E – Ortho
• 7E – Joint Replacement/Ortho
• 6S & 6E – Neuro
• 9H – Vascular
• 8H – Pulmonary
• 7H – Cardiac Surgery
• 4H – Cardiac

• Compliance: Scrubs must be Royal Blue
• On-call Requirement: No
• Block Schedule: Not accommodated
• Pending Licenses: Not accepted
