Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. The ideal candidate will have pertinent experience in critical care nursing and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the CVICU.
• Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and conduct assessments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes.

Shifts

This position requires flexibility with rotating shifts:

• Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Shifts may vary based on operational needs, although efforts will be made to honor traveler preferences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the CVICU specialty.
• Active Ohio RN license or a compact state license is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross.
• Must be willing to work at least every other holiday.

Additional Information

During orientation, candidates will complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate training, achieving an acceptable score on both assessments is essential for continuation in the role.
