Registered Nurse

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of maternal and newborn care, and will be comfortable floating to different areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn care.
• Assist with special procedures including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and circulating in the operating room.
• Administer medications, including blood products, insulin, and magnesium sulfate.
• Utilize specialized equipment and maintain patient safety during high-risk situations.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, or related areas.
• Active compact nursing license recognized in the state of practice.
• Certification in AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Proficient in circulating in C/S, High-Risk Antepartum, High-Risk Labor & Delivery, and Couple Care.
• Skilled at IV start and fetal heart monitoring.

Staffing and Work Environment

The nursing staff ratio for this position is 1:1-3, promoting a supportive and effective team dynamic.

Schedule

This position is for a night shift, requiring three 12-hour shifts weekly, from 19:00 to 07:30.
