Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team for an assignment of 13 or 14 weeks. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in emergency care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
• Assess patient conditions and respond effectively to medical emergencies.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with protocols.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Kansas or a multistate license.
• Hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and either MOAB or CPI.
• Minimum of 2 years of strong experience in emergency care; 4 years preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
• No prior travel experience is required.

Contract Details

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
• Weekend and holiday rotations are required.
• Minimum time off requests of 5 days during the assignment, with only one holiday request allowed.

Additional Information

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Epic, is preferred. Nurses must be prepared to hit the ground running in a busy, 34-bed emergency department that functions as a level 2 trauma center.

All certifications and licenses must be submitted with the application. Candidates will be evaluated based on their qualifications and compliance with staffing requirements.
