Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a general medical-surgical inpatient nursing unit. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including floating to various units and being available for call as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Monitor patient health and administer medications as prescribed.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Occasionally care for non-critical pediatric patients on the unit.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the MedHost electronic medical record system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med/Surg setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• ACLS & PALS certifications are preferred.
• Familiarity with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6.
• Ability to adapt to changing clinical situations and effectively manage patient needs.
