Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position involves providing comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering high-quality medical and surgical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a diverse population of elderly patients with various medical diagnoses, including respiratory, cardiac, gastrointestinal, neurological, and potential orthopedic conditions.
• Collaborate with a healthcare team consisting of 1 RN, 1 LPN, and 1 PCT to deliver effective care to groups of up to 9 patients.
• Utilize the Care Delivery Model, adjusting to “modified teams” when full teams are not available.
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and implement care plans in accordance with physician orders.
• Continue professional development and education, maintaining necessary certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a med/surg or telemetry setting.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Ability to float to other medical/surgical units as needed, with weekend coverage required every other weekend or for a total of 4 weekend shifts per month.
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles away.

Uniform Requirements

Scrubs should be navy blue and white in any combination of those colors.
