Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) to join our healthcare team. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of L&D practices and the ability to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Scheduled: 7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (36 hours per week)
• Guaranteed: 24 hours minimum per week
• Flexibility to float to similar units or other locations as needed

Weekend and On-Call Requirements

Weekend and on-call requirements will be determined by the facility.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in labor and delivery, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, providing real-time assessment and interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Assist in delivery processes, including emergency interventions when necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of recent L&D experience within the last 12 months is required.
• Active license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AFM from approved vendors.
• No violations on the state license to practice.
• Must provide a valid driver’s license for residency verification.

Additional Information

• Dress code: Navy scrubs.
• Registered nurses should be flexible with shifts, locations, and departments to facilitate prompt placement.
• No planned time off (RTO) exceeding 7 days and no requests during the first week of assignment will be accepted.
