ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing care to patients in a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, as well as managing overflow from Medical, Trauma, and Neuro Intensive Care Units, with a specific focus on cardiology.

Key Responsibilities

• Caring for patients in the Cardiac ICU and assisting in overflow situations from other intensive care settings.
• Managing critical care needs with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.
• Adhering to clinical guidelines and protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Floating to other ICUs and border areas as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience is required.
• Previous travel nursing experience is a must.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. TNCC certification is preferred but not required.
• No local radius rule is in effect; local candidates are welcome.
• Travel pairs are discouraged; candidates should be adaptable to the unit’s needs.

Schedule and Commitment

• This position is for a duration of 15 weeks, starting on 10/12.
• Weekends are required every other week, with requests for flexibility based on unit needs.
• There is a restriction of no more than 6 days of requested time off (RTO).
• Guaranteed hours may be subject to shift cancellations, with a limit of 1 shift per 2-week pay period.

Additional Information

• Charting is conducted using Epic software; proficiency is mandatory.
• Unit staff consists of a total of 23 beds.
• Daily onsite parking rates apply: $15 during weekdays, $4 on weekends, and $5 for evening shifts.
• An offsite parking option is also available with shuttle service from 5 am to 10 pm on weekdays.
