Registered Nurse (RN) – Step Down

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Step Down unit. The ideal candidate will possess experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a focus on cardiac patient care, specifically in administering and managing cardiac drip medications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Step Down unit.
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips as per established protocols.
• Monitor patient responses and report changes in condition to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the Epic charting system.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with relevant experience in the Step Down or Progressive Care Unit.
• Cardiac drip experience is required; ability to titrate and manage is a hard stop requirement.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment to working day shifts, three times a week, with shift hours from 07:00 to 19:00. Candidates are required to choose one holiday between Thanksgiving and Christmas, without the option for both.
