Director of Therapy and Rehabilitation Services

The Director of Therapy and Rehabilitation Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, clinical performance, and strategic direction of rehabilitation services. This role involves managing therapy programs while ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, budgeting, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support all Physical Therapists (PT) and Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) staff.
• Conduct evaluations for PT staff.
• Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to develop treatment programs.
• Improve patient outcomes and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Oversee both inpatient (swing bed) and outpatient therapy services.

Requirements:

• Active Arkansas Physical Therapy License.
• Current AHA BLS Certification.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of management experience in a therapy setting.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently within a smaller team environment.
• Familiarity with EMR/documentation systems.
• Strong time management and adaptability in mixed settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in rural or critical access hospital settings.
• Comfortable floating between inpatient and outpatient caseloads.
• Experience with Trubridge/CPSI EMR.

Work Conditions:

• Full-time position: 8-hour days with guaranteed 30 hours per week.
• No weekend or holiday shifts currently required.
