Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a qualified Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a 26-week contract in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic setting with a variety of patient diagnoses, primarily focused on the Admissions Pending Unit.

Position Details:

• Contract Duration: 26 weeks
• Work Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Holidays: Required as needed
• Floating: May be required to float to other units
• Call: No call required

Role Responsibilities:

• Initiating admission orders and completing the admission navigator
• Documenting initial admission assessments
• Managing patient throughput efficiently, aiming for a length of stay of 4 hours or less

Qualifications:

• BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
• Current Kansas state license or multistate license required
• No pending certifications or licenses
• No history of hits on license; no exceptions
• Experience managing cardiac and anticoagulant drips, such as Cardizem and Heparin
