Mammography Technologist
Position Information

Required Qualifications
- Licensure: ARRT(R)(M)
- Certifications: BLS from AHA only
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in Mammography

Responsibilities
- Consistently observe patients before, during, and after procedures, using appropriate immobilization devices.
- Safely operate all equipment, report malfunctions, and understand emergency procedures and radiation safety.
- Verify accuracy of data entered/retrieved from physician’s orders or computer systems prior to procedures.
- Review orders for diagnosis and prescriptions, schedule patient and department resources appropriately.
- Perform all procedures according to established protocols, presenting completed procedures for interpretation.
- Collaborate with staff and physicians to ensure optimal patient care and adjust schedules as necessary.
- Assist radiologists with special procedures, including needle localizations and biopsies, while performing quality control on equipment.
- Maintain documentation for quality improvement programs and ensure that staff training programs are current and effective.
- Transport patients and specimens as necessary, ensuring a high standard of care throughout the process.
