Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. This role involves performing mammography procedures for outpatient services and ensuring optimal patient care and safety throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Required Licensure: ARRT(R)(M)
• Required Certifications: BLS from AHA only
• Years of Experience: 1+ year in Mammography

Unit Information

• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment: GE
• EMR: EPIC

Responsibilities

• Consistently observe patients before, during, and after procedures, utilizing appropriate immobilization devices.
• Safely operate mammography equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
• Verify the accuracy of data entered and retrieved from physician’s orders and the computer system.
• Review orders for diagnoses and prescriptions and appropriately schedule patient services.
• Perform all procedures according to the protocol outlined in the procedure manual.
• Collaborate with staff and physicians to ensure optimal patient care and maintain efficient department functioning.
• Assume responsibility for quality improvement initiatives and keep documentation current.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new staff as needed.
• Evaluate diagnostic procedures for appropriateness and make corrective measures as needed.
• Maintain alignment with departmental policies regarding punctuality and scheduling flexibility.
