Travel Ultrasound Technician
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM with call (typically 1-2 times per week)
Job Overview
The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic imaging services to both inpatients and outpatients, operating under the direction of a Radiologist and following departmental protocols. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of various sonographic procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform abdominal and pelvic sonograms, including gynecological and obstetrical imaging.
- Conduct transvaginal ultrasound examinations.
- Proficiently scan small parts, such as thyroid, breast, and scrotum.
- Assist in ultrasound-guided procedures, including biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
Qualifications
- Must hold ultrasound certification and a current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional ultrasound experience required.
- Graduate of an accredited AMA school.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- Must maintain a state license as a general radiographer.
