Position Overview

The Occupational Therapist will provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment, focusing on adult and geriatric populations. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to adults and geriatric patients.
• Conduct assessments and develop customized treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for improvement.
• Maintain a professional and supportive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in both Med Surg and Acute Rehab Units preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to adapt to various patient needs and shift requirements.

Work Environment

You will be working in an environment equipped with modern facilities, serving a diverse patient population. The setting includes a medical-surgical unit as well as an acute rehabilitation unit.

Dress Code

The designated scrub color is black. Please refrain from wearing blue jeans, spandex, open-toe shoes, or hoodies while on duty.

Additional Information

• Minimum weekend coverage of one Saturday per month.
• Will likely split time between medical-surgical and acute rehabilitation units.
