Occupational Therapist (OT)

Position Information

• Department: Medical Surgical and Acute Rehabilitation
• Shift: Day
• Weekend Requirements: Minimum of one Saturday per month
• Float Requirements: Yes

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 80 in the hospital; 20 in rehab
• Patient Ratios: 10:1 on Medical Surgical; 6:1 on Acute Rehabilitation
• Electronic Health Record: EPIC

Patient Population

This role focuses on adults and geriatrics, with common diagnoses including:

• Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA)
• Orthopedic conditions
• Cardiac issues

Qualifications

• Required Education: Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Required Certification: Valid Occupational Therapy License in Louisiana
• Experience: Preferred experience in medical-surgical and acute rehabilitation environments
