Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg Tele

Position Information:

• Role: RN

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekend Hours: As required by facility (typically every other weekend)
• Call Requirements: None

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN License (eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri or already licensed in Missouri)
• Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA, NIHSS
• Experience: 2+ years in Telemetry nursing

Unit Information:

• Patient Ratios: 4-6 patients per nurse (estimates, not guarantees)
• Equipment: Standard nursing equipment on Tele unit
• EMR: EPIC

Personality and Skill Set:

• Must Have Skills: 2+ years of Telemetry experience
• Type of Patients: 50% Medical / 50% Telemetry adults only
• Personality Fit: Team player with a focus on positive patient outcomes and superior communication skills

Overview of Responsibilities:

Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. You will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort and outcomes. Functions will adhere to the established guidelines of nursing practice as per the Missouri Nurse Practice Act.

Additional Information:

This position requires the individual to work on the night shift, with orientation conducted on the day shift. Availability throughout the entire week is necessary for the orientation process.
