Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Speech Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including those with neurological, orthopedic, and cognitive impairments.

• Shift: Days and weekend rotation
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours
• Call Requirements: Not required, but may be requested
• Required Certifications: Therapy Licensure
• Years of Experience: 0+ years
• Float Requirements: Possible float to MedSurg and Outpatient

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 12
• Patient Ratios: 1 SLP to 5-6 patients
• Equipment: Sara steady, Hoyer lift, parallel bars (additional equipment may be available)
• EHR: EPIC and Nethealth for billing
• Patient Population: Neuro, orthopedic, debility, cognitive impairments

Requirements

• Must-Have Skills/Experience: Effective communication and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in an Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) setting and conducting swallow studies.
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Orthopedic and neurological disorders, debility.
• Required Education: As required by national and state licensing boards.
